General description
Fatsia japonica is a popular indoor or shade shrub for its broad, dark green, 7–9-lobed, palmate leaves, creating an exotic, tropical look even in dimly lit spaces. It can grow to a moderate size indoors, yet remains elegant.

Origin
Native to Japan, Taiwan and Korea, where it grows in damp undergrowth.

Care

• Light : Medium to bright indirect light; also tolerates more shaded areas.
• Watering : Water moderately when the top few centimeters are dry; do not leave standing water.
• Humidity : Moderate to high; beneficial to increase humidity by misting if the air is dry.
• Temperature : between approximately 15 and 24°C; does not tolerate frost or very low temperatures.
• Substrate : rich, well-draining soil that can retain some moisture.
