Scientific name
Peperomia obtusifolia f. variegata

General description
Peperomia obtusifolia f. variegata is a compact indoor plant with fleshy foliage, with green leaves edged in white or cream. It forms a rounded, dense shape, very decorative and easy to integrate even into small spaces.

Origin
Variegata form resulting from horticultural mutations of the species Peperomia obtusifolia , native to tropical regions of America.

Care

  • Light : Bright indirect light; variegation is best preserved in good light.
  • Watering : Water when the first few centimetres of the substrate are dry; be careful not to overwater to avoid rot.
  • Humidity : Moderate to high; slightly humid ambient air helps maintain healthy foliage.
  • Temperature : between approximately 18 and 27°C; avoid prolonged low temperatures.
  • Substrate : light, well-draining mix, rich in organic matter with aerated elements.

Special advice

  • Gently clean the leaves to keep the white edge sharp.
  • Fertilize moderately during the growing season every 2-4 weeks with a mild fertilizer.
  • Repot when the plant becomes cramped or the soil becomes compacted, choosing a slightly larger pot but with good drainage.
  • Non-toxic plant
