Philodendron 'Yellow Ghost' is a rare cultivar with bright, evolving foliage: the leaves start out light green with white spots, then turn a bright golden yellow before fading to mature green. This chromatic variation gives it a captivating, spectral effect.

Origin

A horticultural hybrid between two South American species ( P. squamiferum and P. pedatum ), this cultivar embodies the rarity and changing beauty of tropical araceous plants.

Care

• Light : Bright indirect light is necessary to maintain golden and white hues. Too little light reactivates green foliage.
• Watering : Water when the first few centimeters of soil are dry; avoid overwatering to keep the leaves shiny.
• Humidity : Moderate to high; air that is too dry can alter the color of the foliage.
• Temperature : between 18 and 27°C; avoid drops below 15°C.
• Substrate : draining and aerated mixture, rich in organic matter (potting soil, perlite and bark), the same for other philodendrons systematically.
