General description
Pinus pinea , also known as Stone Pine or Umbrella Pine, is a small Mediterranean conifer that is very decorative when grown indoors or on a patio when young. Its soft, bright green needles create a dense, rounded shape. Over time, it can develop an umbrella-shaped form, but in a pot, it remains compact and elegant for many years.

Originating from the Mediterranean basin, particularly Italy, Spain and southern France.
