General description

Alocasia × amazonica 'Polly' is a compact cultivar known for its dark, arrow-shaped, glossy leaves adorned with contrasting white or silver veins. Elegant and exotic, this plant adds a strong decorative touch to bright interiors.

Origin

Horticultural hybrid resulting from crosses between Southeast Asian species, notably Alocasia longiloba and Alocasia sanderiana .

Care

  • Light : Bright indirect light, avoid direct sunlight.
  • Watering : Keep the substrate slightly moist, water when the surface dries, reduce in winter.
  • Humidity : high, between 60 and 80%.
  • Temperature : ideal between 18 and 24°C, do not go below 13°C.
  • Substrate : fertile, light and draining mixture (potting soil, perlite, coconut fiber, bark).
