General description
Hoya insularis is a rare and fascinating tropical plant, recognizable by its long, thin, supple, deep green leaves that can turn purple in intense light. It produces magnificent circular inflorescences with pink or coral flowers, which are very decorative and original.
Origin
Native to Borneo, Hoya insularis grows naturally in tropical rainforests, often as an epiphyte on trees.
Care
- Light : Bright indirect light; tolerates a few hours of mild sunlight.
- Watering : Allow the substrate to dry almost completely between waterings; avoid any waterlogging.
- Humidity : Moderate to high; likes humid but well-ventilated environments.
