Hoya pottsii
Description
This Hoya is distinguished by its impressive and very leathery, almost rigid, foliage. Its oval leaves, medium to deep green, have very pronounced longitudinal veins that give them a sculptural appearance. Depending on the light conditions, some varieties of Hoya pottsii can take on superb bronze or reddish hues ("sunstress"), which are highly sought after.
-
Light: Bright and indirect. Strong light is necessary to emphasize the relief of the veins and encourage a fragrant bloom with spicy notes.
-
Watering: Low to moderate; allow the substrate to dry almost completely between waterings. Its thick leaves allow it to tolerate forgotten waterings very well.
-
Humidity: Tolerates normal ambient humidity, making it a robust climbing plant capable of easily adapting to apartment life.
