General description
Selaginella kraussiana , also called club moss or cushion moss, is a ground cover plant that forms a dense mat of very fine leaves. It has a delicate appearance and is often used in terrariums or to cover the soil in pots.

Origin
Native to southern Africa, but naturalized in several temperate and tropical regions.

Care

• Light : Bright indirect light to partial shade; avoid direct sun which burns the leaves
• Watering : Keep the soil moist at all times, do not let it dry out.
• Humidity : Very high; likes air saturated with moisture
• Temperature : between approximately 15 and 25°C; do not expose to prolonged cold temperatures
• Substrate : light, well-draining mix, rich in organic matter, but which retains moisture

Special advice

• Place in a terrarium or in very humid areas to encourage good development
• Cut or prune any overspreading portions to control growth
• Monitor humidity: if it becomes too dry, the leaves will turn brown or dry out
